$25,000 Striped Bass Finally Caught

Last week Maryland Department of Natural Resources announce that for the first time since the contest was started the "Diamond Jim" Striped Bass which is tagged and released into the Chesapeake Bay at the beginning of the Striped bass season worth $25,000 in cash to the fortunate angler... has been caught! Blair Wheeler of Virginia landed the the whopper while fishing on a charter sometime in August near Deale. In addition to the $25,000 in cash she also received a diamond ring valued at $6,000. She reported that she had only been fishing 7 times in her life....
