Speckled Trout OBX Outer Banks North Carolina

The Outer Banks Voice announced today that after a 4 month ban on keeping any Speckled Trout  "Recreational and commercial fisherman will be able to once again keep speckled trout starting Sunday.

The speckled trout fishery in North Carolina has been closed since February, after extremely cold water temperatures in the sounds led to the stunning of thousands of fish.

Recreational anglers can only keep four fish per day, and they must be at least 14 inches long.

When it was announced, the North Carolina Division of Marine Fisheries said the ban would be lifted June 15."
